From 22 till 26 October 2018, in Tashkent city taking place regional training for national experts on the use of a tool to ensure the quality of drug treatment within the framework of the UNODC “Treatnet II: Treating Drug dependence its Health Consequences” - GLO71 project.
During the training, specialists will consider the adaptation of international quality standards for the treatment of disorders caused by the use of psychoactive substances, as well as the tools for their assessment. Following the results of the work, it is planned to develop a quality control mechanism for services with its possible introduction into the public health system of the republic.
Reference: The GLO71 project has been implemented in Uzbekistan since 2009 by the UNODC Regional Office in Central Asia as part of the joint UNODC and WHO program for drug dependence treatment, which is aimed at assisting the development of a treatment system for drug addicts, as well as reducing the negative consequences of drug addiction.
